Everybody Loves When Grandma Comes to Town...
My mom came into town last week for a much-needed visit. Despite our water heater breaking for two days, we had a great time and kept very busy. Jack and Charlie loved having someone other than me to play with!
One of my favorite things we did was go to this lady's flower farm in Solon and pick our own flowers. It was AWESOME and I cannot believe I've lived here for five years and have never done it. You pay $10.00 and she gives you a gallon-sized bucket to fill up with whatever you want. It was so much fun! After we got it home we had enough flowers to fill 3 large vases...one for each room in my house!

We also went to a blueberry farm and picked our own blueberries for only $2.00 per pound. It almost felt like I was huckleberrying at our cabin in Yellowstone!
My mom also kept Jack very busy playing pirates, making treasure maps, going to the park, children's museum, and going to "Old MacDonald's Market" (a.k.a. the Farmer's Market). Thanks again for coming, Mom and we hope you come back soon!

Those flowers really are so pretty!! And that cake looks so good...chocolate on chocolate is Peter's fave. I will have to tell him about it when he is on his little road trip with the boy's!
