- storytime at the library (a Monday tradition)
- having friends and their kids over for lunch, despite our cramped quarters
- getting all my photos organized and put into photo ablums up through 2007 (hooray)!
- a much-needed break from my kids while serving free lunch at the Wesley House
- re-doing my picture board
- settling in each night with Olympics coverage and some Ben & Jerry's
- testing out Jack's new red helmet
- morning walks to the park
- single-handedly eating 12 cobs of Iowa sweet corn...definitely the thing I will miss the most once we move
- reading the best book I've read in a while, My Sister's Keeper. I was literally crying at the end...so good.
- lots of cereal, pbj's, and mac & cheese (a week off real cooking)
- cleaning out closets
- teaching Charlie how to sit down all by himself before sliding down the slide at the park
- and, best of all, booking tickets home in October for just $125 ROUND TRIP from Cedar Rapids! Boo yah!

Seven.
This is the number of days Trent has been gone and I've been on my own. Just one more to go! We've actually managed to stay really busy and have had a great week, with only one minor meltdown on my part. Here's what the week has included:

We had a great time with Trent tonight. We ate at Cheesecake. Oh I'm sorry, am I making you green with envy? Not my intent. It sounds like you've made the most of your single days. So, when are YOU coming to Colorado???
oh Now I figured out where mykol is at..coloroado..thanks mykol for infoming me!! am I on the outs or what..and when are you guys coming to vist the tri-shities..did I just write that? anyways I am sure you and trent have already wrote that option off..but don't worry we will still be here with open arms if you change your mind! oh and I loved this post..its kinda nice when they are gone..you get so MUCH DONE!!

You said that you wouldn't keep busy! Sounds like you were way busy, which isn't a bad thing when dad isn't coming home at night. Sorry you probably had to clean closets out because my kids helped trash them!!! We need to get together soon. If I can just keep our family well! Hope life is a little better with Trent home.

I LOVE that book! I am glad that Trent is back, although you were quite the little busy bee. I am so excited that you are coming out for Halloween. Can't wait!!
