Earlier this week when talking about what Trent wanted for his birthday, he asked me not to do a birthday blog post! But since you're gone today, the boys and I just want to wish you a very happy 30th! We miss you and hope you're having a great time.
I just love surprises. I seriously think they are so fun to plan and pull off. And this one for Trent worked perfectly! Because he's turning 30 today, I wanted to do something special and memorable for him on his birthday. Thursday night he came home from school and we surprised him with his favorite dinner, cake, and balloons. After dinner I gave him his gift: a trip to the airport (his bags were packed). I just told him his ride would pick him up at baggage claim in Vegas and that he needed to just trust me. He was so surprised and so confused! He kept trying to guess who would be waiting for him, but I would not budge.

I agree you do get the worlds best wife award! I'm seriously not going to let Cody read this. He'll wonder what the heck I've been doing the last couple of years on his birthday. Hey, at least he gets a cake!

Trent is 30. Impossible. Remember the last time you were here and I thought you were in your early twenties? Seriously, you will always be four grades younger than I, which translates to eight years in my book.
