- he loves to sing and has always got some song in his head (just like his dad). Whether it's the Dora or Caillou theme song, Happy Birthday, Jesus Wants me for a Sunbeam, Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes...it is so darling! I love hearing his little voice.
- he can stare someone down like no other. When my sister was here a couple weeks ago, fshe said she felt like she was about to crack him...and she finally did when he gave her a high five. You definitely have to work to get him to give you any love. But Trent and I think it's hilarious. Trent thinks he has a dark mind.
- When I give him a sandwich, he takes one bite out if each of the four pieces, and then proceeds to eat the rest of it. I'm not kidding...every single time he does this. What's up with that?
- He can count to twelve all by himself!
- Whenever Trent comes home at the end of the day he says, "Hi, Daddy!" in a VERY animated tone. I think it's so darling because he only does this for Trent.
- He has some mean dance skills and doesn't even crack a smile while he's bouncing up and down to the beat...it's serious business!
- He savors the alone time we have together on Tuesday and Thursday mornings while Jack is at school. He is so happy and content...it's so quiet around here! But I love it, and he's always really excited to pick Jack up from school. It's a great break for all three of us.
- He can sing a great version of the alphabet song!
- Whenever I ask him if he wants to do womething, he used to say either "Okay!" or "Oh, boy!" And now it's "Okay, boy!"
- His obsession with balls continues. Every morning right when he wakes up he finds a ball and says, "It's a ball! It's a ball! It's a big ball!" Seriously. Trent and I laugh pretty much every time he says it.
I am so grateful to be the mother of these two boys. Last week I pulled Jack's old 18-24 month fall clothes out from the garage and had such a crazy wave of emotions come over me! Just pulling out those clothes of Jack's reminded me how much fun I had with him at that age. I have so many wonderful memories with him and now to have Charlie and Jack both is so much fun. I absolutely love seeing both their unique personalities develop and am so glad I have them in my life.

Dude, I only cracked him for a nanosecond and then it was back to the stare. Jack was such an easier target. I had him eating out of the palm of my hand when I taught him to say "Aunt Ruby's the bomb." Charlie is one tough ticket, which I think is HILARIOUS.
He is so freakin cute! He's also a little genius! Counting to 12 already, what a stud!
I love that pic of him. Both of your boys are so darling...but that would go without saying since they pretty much have the cutest mom ever!
I'm excited for the big b-day lunch :) or dinner or whatever it is.
Em, you're such a cute mom! Charlie is too cute as well. I think I say that every time I comment. Sorry but it's true!
Oh Em...you are such a good mom! I love reading your blog and hearing about your little Jack and Charlie. Although I never get to see them I feel like I know them so well through your cute blog. Thanks so much for keeping us updated on all the fun things they are saying and doing.
