My sister came into town for the long weekend and Jack was in heaven having a new playmate who gave him tons of attention. Other than the fact that Jack, then Charlie, then I, then Rebecca caught a weird 24-hour long bug of some sort, it was a lot of fun! I have to say, it was awesome for me to have her to come along with me as my own personal assistant with the boys. On Friday we had to settle for some indoor pool time, but the kids loved it.
Jack and Trent went to the ward campout on Friday night, where R and I stayed up way too late talking, eating ice cream, and cruising around Facebook. I don't need one more distraction in my life!
On Saturday we hung out downtown at the ped mall for lunch, ice cream, and watching all the crazy Hawkeye fans get drunk and watch our first home football game.
I got a babysitter one night so we could enjoy a delicious meal at Devotay without the little ones.
Poor Rebecca was a good sport about squeezing into the backseat all weekend!
And we couldn't leave out a trip to the yummy Lincoln Cafe in Mount Vernon. If you haven't been, you should try it. It is darling and delicious!
Thanks again for coming, Rebecca! We loved having you and hope it won't be your last visit to Iowa!

How fun to have your sister here! I am loving having my mom and stepdad here right now. I'm going to be going through some serious withdrawls when they leave! Jack looks absolutely adorable on his first day of school. I love it. Love the backpack! We need to get together next week.
