Wilson's Apple Orchard

One of my favorite things to do during an Iowa harvest is go to Wilson's Apple Orchard. Trent and I took a break from writing our talks for Sunday's meeting and took the kids out for some "family fun," as Trent called it. The main attraction for the boys is the tractor ride Farmer Wilson takes you on all around the apple orchard, through the river, and around the pumpkin patch. It is so much fun! Here's Charlie enjoying the ride. And a decent shot of Jack's chipped tooth. Note how little tooth surface he had to begin with!
Farmer Wilson is the bomb! Seriously, it is so nice of him to drive kids around the orchard day after day.
After the tractor ride we spent some time picking our own apples. Unfortunately, all the honeycrisp apples were gone (my favorite), but we managed to find some good ones. Charlie even decided to take a break from his usual diet of carbs and try a bite.
Jack loved spotting the apples on the trees and choosing where to pick next.
J and C counting how many apples we had so far:

And Jack taking our new baby for a ride. He got a lot of looks from people pushing that bad boy around! It was heavy!

Perfect! What an idyllic Fall day. Love apples, but they still qualify as a carb, so he tricked you, didn't he?

Okay, so I guess I don't really know what carbs are! I was thinking breads...
