Since my big 30th birthday is coming up, I've been trying to decide what to suggest for Trent to give me. Rather than a couple small gifts, I think I might combine birthday money from parents and Trent and purchase a pair of boots. I just can't decide which ones!
These black boots I tried on in Chicago about a month ago and LOVED them. Seriously, I feel like we are meant to be together. You can scrunch them down or wear them pulled up and they look darling either way. But they are completely out of my budget and not quite as practical.
These next two are super cute and very functional. I think a good pair of boots makes any outfit...I just can't decide which color I prefer, saddle:
or dark brown:

I am dying over those black ones, where are they from??
I still haven't heard anything. I have been bugging my sister to get details for me and long story short, she hasn't yet. I will call you Monday.
I've never heard of "scrunching" boots. My vote are those. Good boots are hard to come by...I'm looking for some too.
black gets my first vote. dark brown gets my second. but really, you shouldn't listen to me since i'm a huge fashion disaster. ugly betty and i would get along really well. i'm excited to see which ones you end up getting!
Rebecca and I are looking at this together and we agree: No shearling, we both have the Fryes and love them - they are an investment and are timeless, however we both agree that you need the Diesels. They are darling. Rebecca says "small price to pay for self-esteem" but that's easy to say when you're a Rockafeller.
I say, pool your resources and buy them, but I still can't believe that boots are now in the high $200's-$300's. Remember when a cute pair of boots was like $110? Ah, the 90's.
Emily! I LOVE all these, but especially the 4th ones...the darker brown. In fact, I think I might look into those! Let's be honest, you need some warm boots for that weather of yours!!
It was SO fun to do lunch. Your boys are darling and it was nice to see a familiar face. I met 2 girls who knew you...their husbands were 4th year med students. They were super nice. I'll keep ya posted and you keep me posted! Have fun in Colorado! Jealous! But, not of the car ride! Love, liz
ok so here is my suggestion. Keep in mind it is only a suggestion. If I were you I think I would go with the Fryes. (love them by the way and I have been wanting some of those) My reasoning is because those boots never go out of style. You can wear them with tons of stuff and you will never have buyers remorse.
I do LOVE the black ones, but for that amount of money they might be gone with the wind in two years.(aka out of style.) maybe not..but after two years I am ready to move onto something new. Usually I am not so practical, but I guess that is what happens when your butt gets thrown out in the "real world". SO there are my tid-bits. oh and make sure you lets us know what you decide!!
hey em, love the frye in the dark brown.the dark brown will age way better. the frye are totally worth the money and they will only get better through the years. the black ones are super cute as well. you need a good pair of boots in black and brown. the black ones would last you years too. wait for a couple of months and i bet they will go on sale. then you can get both!
I like the Saddle color. It has always been my FAVORITE! Not that you would decide on them because they are my favortie. But stll I like that style the best.
