Leaving on a Jet Plane.

My bag is packed and I am ready to go, but I have no idea where it is I am headed or who I am meeting at my destination. Trent really pulled off a birthday surprise last night when he told me he'd arranged for sitters for the kids today and tomorrow and (bonus): I don't have to teach my lesson on Sunday!

I am super excited and very curious...I have a hunch my mom is in on this, but we'll have to see. This is definitely a memorable 30th birthday.

Thanks to everyone who called, emailed, texted, sang, blogged...I loved hearing from all of you!

A Colorado Thanksgiving

We packed up the car and made the drive to Colorado for our Thanksgiving break last week. Kind of a different way to spend the holiday, but we had a great time! The kids enjoyed the Children's Museum. Charlie could have stayed at the train table all day long. He wasn't happy when it was time to go!

Mykol and Ramsey were so generous to let us stay at their place. As you can see, the kids loved having just a bit more space.

Watching Charlie Brown's Thanksgiving:
Our self-timer shot of the four of us (please ignore Charlie's bare legs and Jack's crusty):
More shots of Charlie and Trent playing their favorite game:
Another self-timer:
Jack and Charlie trying to help Trent fire up the grill.

And, of course, some serious time spent on the Wii. My right tricep was seriously sore after playing tennis! Jack preferred the bowling.
We had a wonderful Thanksgiving and I feel like I have so much to be grateful for. I loved celebrating with my own family but missed the rest of our families and friends. And now it's officially Christmas! Yea!
